What is your Big Idea for Philadelphia?
Bringing together research, education, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship for transformative regional development

Philly is filled with a growing array of folks who share a few key traits. These expressive and creative people live for the use of, interaction with, and advancement of technology. What’s next for Philly is to catalyze this population to bring more Philadelphians into the world of expressive and creative interaction technologies, or as we call it - ExCITe. From arts integrated education in Head Start programs to public symposia on the latest in robotic and display technology, Philadelphia will be the place for the creative digital economy.

The Expressive and Creative Interaction Technologies (ExCITe) Center is a uniquely-Philly partnership bringing together research, education, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship as necessary and interrelated ingredients for transformative regional development.  This network will provide Philadelphians access to the latest in the creative technologies at the nexus of art and technology and also encourages a population versed in both.

Kara Lindstrom is a designer and strong believer in the exchange of information in the service of serendipitous inspiration. Trained in both sociology and interior design, she currently serves as the operations manager for the ExCITe Center and web portal manager for PhillyKEYSPOT at Drexel University.
