Starting with community based research in that PA coal belt, community installations at Cornell University, and growing into immersive community research and activism with Temple University Architecture, to currently thorough curriculum affiliated with Dark Matter University at Thomas Jefferson University, College of Architecture and the Built Environment (TJU CABE) focusing on design justice in North Philadelphia.

Andrew Hart specializes in linking the various modes and methods of architectural practice and communication. He teaches courses in drawing, modeling, visualization, representation and virtual reality, historical documentation, and alternative methods of hybrid drawing. He has also has deep connections with community instigated design in conjunction with history, drawing, and visualization. Andrew received his MArch II from Cornell University College of Architecture Art and Planning where he focused on innovative and unusual practices of architecture. Andrew delights in connecting students and communities of Philadelphia to learn and design together. His current work and research focuses on design opportunities in rust-belt communities in Philadelphia, Northeastern Pennsylvania, and Spain. As a designer he has worked professionally with Bohlin Cywinski and Jackson, Claflen Associates, Architects and Planners, and Parergon Design + Build. Andrew is an exhibited artist at the 3rd St Gallery on 2nd St in Philadelphia. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia, the Education Chair for the Young Friends of the Preservation Alliance, a member of NCARB ThinkTank2017 among his involvement with various other professional organizations.
